Danny Daffern Obituary

Danny A. Daffern, age 74, took his final breath on August 16, 2025, in Marianna, Florida. He entered this world on December 23, 1950, in Horatio, Arkansas, born to William Lewis and Eula Stevens Daffern. A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great grandfather, loyal brother, and faithful servant—Danny will be deeply missed and forever honored by his family and friends.

A skilled carpenter by trade, Danny's craft extended beyond the tangible woodwork and into the hearts of those he encountered. His strong Christian faith was a guiding force in his life. He was an ordained deacon at Centrahoma Baptist Church and was dedicated to building handicap ramps with Laborers for Christ and his fellow church members.

Danny was a cowboy at heart and, in his younger years, loved attending rodeo's in Oklahoma before moving to the panhandle in 2023. He and his wife, Imogene graced many a dance floor, exuding joy with every country and Western swing dance step. In quieter times, Danny found solace in the pages of the Bible and growing his relationship with the Lord. Danny also enjoyed westerns; including John Wayne and the rugged landscapes of Louis L'Amour Westerns.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Leon Daffern, Chester Daffern, Charles Richard Daffern and Lewis "Duck" Daffern.

Danny leaves behind a legacy of devotion and love to his beloved wife of 56 years, Imogene; his son, Daniel "Bud" Daffern and wife, Christy; daughters, Shannon Stevens and husband, Billy, and Shelly Taylor and husband, Brandon; and daughter-in-law, Angie Shelton. He is also survived by his brothers Lawrence "Floyd", David, Jerry and Gary Daffern, and his sisters, Connie Johnson and Debbie Johnson; grandchildren, Whitney, Jessica, Taylor, Courtney, Dylan, Dalton, Brynan, Seth, Chris and Christina; along with numerous great-grandchildren.
