Daniel Winslow O'Dwyer

Daniel W. O’Dwyer, age 82, of Panama City, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Gulf Coast Hospital.

Daniel was born August 8, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama. He Joined the U.S. Navy and served with honor on the USS Carbonero SS-337 and USS Sterlet SS-392. Daniel later became a Contractor for the U.S. Military until retirement. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Lee O'Dwyer; parents, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Phillip W. O’Dwyer and Louise Bennett O’Dwyer; one sister, Denna Schulz; and grandson, Matthew Bennett Steinmetz.

Daniel is survived by his two daughters, Evelyn Traynom and husband, Richard of Marianna, FL, and Glenyss Ellis and husband, Robert of Splendora, TX; granddaughter, Katie Rose Steinmetz; niece, Debbie Hinkle and husband, Dave of Tennessee; and nephew, George Lee Beverley

Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
