Christine Dilmore

Florence Christine Dilmore, age 92, of Cottondale, FL, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Christine was born in Jackson County, FL to the late John A. Parish and Florence B. Russ Parish. At a young age, Christine became a mother figure to her brothers and sisters; later earning the name, MawMaw. She was an amazing wife of 49 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Christine was a phenomenal cook and loved playing Bingo with her friends while she was in the nursing facility. Christine was a devout Christian and was a lifelong member of Cottondale Assembly of God Church until her health declined.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; siblings, Junior Parish, Earl Parish, Lois Shumake, Evelyn Hall, James Parish, Helen Aplin, and Robert Parish.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Gurtha Williams of Chattahoochee, FL; son, Roy Dilmore and wife, Sandra of Cottondale, FL; brother, Alfred Parish and wife, Jo of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Dana Kelley (Phillip), Shaun Williams (Chrissy), Alisa Porter (Will), and Krisa Dilmore (Will); great grandchildren, Michael and Heather Kelley, Eden and Canaan Porter, Kinidi and Marley Early; great great grandson, James Hicks; step sister, Catherine Barnett of Chattahoochee, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Gino Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation, beginning at 1 P.M. at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
