Brenda D. (Pierce) Porter

Brenda Porter age 68 of Marianna, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her home. She was born in Calhoun County on October 13, 1951 and spent most of her life in Marianna.

Brenda worked and retired from Chemical Addictions Recovery Effort (CARE) as a drug and alcohol counselor. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE). Brenda also liked going to the races and working at Sadie’s Flea Market, but most of all, she loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Selma Eugene Pierce and Margaret Wolf Pierce; one brother, Broward Pierce; one granddaughter, Harley Hussey, and one great-granddaughter, Madison Golf.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of forty-six years, Henry Howard Porter; daughters, Brenda Joyce Porter and Sandra Patrick; one son, Christopher Patrick; step- daughters, Lisa Stream (Justin) and Stephanie Johnson; one brother, Billy Pierce; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A private family Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

 Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
