Bobby Barnett

On August 24, 2021, Robert Charles "Bobby" Barnett died at peace in his home in Bascom, Florida after a short illness. He was 85 years old.

He was married for 38 years to the love of his life, Sandra “Miss Baby” Parker-Barnett, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his three children, Glenn Barnett, Scott Barnett, and Kelly Barnett Glassburn; niece, Rose Mary Everitt her husband and his best friend, Charlie; great-nieces, Ann Marie Shelton, Jennifer Simonetti; and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bobby was born in Washington, DC, on September 12, 1935. He graduated from Anacostia High School in 1954 and went on to proudly serve in the US Navy. Bobby was an accomplished service technician, fixer, gunsmith, and woodworker.

At Bobby’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service but rather a private celebration of life for close family. Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
