Betty Jean Eason

Betty Jean Eason, age 87, of Two Egg, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Eason.

Betty leaves behind her daughters, Kelli Standland of Two Egg and Kim Hamilton and husband, Donny of Two Egg, FL as well as Joyce Dixon of Hilliard, FL; sons, Jerry Eason, Jhonny Eason, Paul Eason and the late, Larry Eason all of South Carolina; son, Roger Eason of Waycross, GA; grandchildren, Travis Standland and Cole Hamilton;  and great grand daughter, Anna Standland. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews as well as many grandchildren from her extended family.

Betty was born July 17, 1935 to the late Eldis Justiss Allen and John Thomas Allen. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a longtime member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. Betty was a devout Christian who loved her family unconditionally. She touched many lives throughout her time here on earth and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. 

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Friday, May 5, 2023 at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church (3943 Sweet Pond Rd. Greenwood, FL 32443) with Pastor Shaun Miles officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1 P.M. until the time of service at the church.
