Betty Joyce Carter, 78, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Marianna, Florida. Betty was born on February 9, 1940 in Round Lake, Florida. She was a native of Alford, Florida. Betty enjoyed fishing and going on picnics. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Betty is survived by her son Denis VanPelt; daughter Sherry Williams; grandchildren Brandon N. Williams, Sgt of the US Army, and Tonya Williams; great granddaughter Aaliyah Williams.

A visitation for Betty will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
