Bert C. Potts

Bert C. Potts, age 80, of Marianna, FL passed away on October 26, 2025 at the Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, AL.

Bert was born January 5, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to David Edward and Clara Mae Potts and was raised in a loving home from 15 months to maturity by Robert Albert Sowers and Jeannette Mae Sowers. He was a loving husband to his wife, Paula; a devoted dad to his daughter, Mary Paula, and his son, Bert Charles, Jr.; a proud grandpop to Charles, Sophia and Aliyah. Along with his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, Bert leaves behind an ocean of friends including three very special friends, Judy, Kennith and Charles, for whom we will always be grateful. 

Bert never wore a mask, being no respecter of persons. Every one he met quickly became a new friend. He was always very funny, kind and was a very gifted artist and communicator. Bert was a bright shining light and will be dearly missed until we meet again. 

A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M., Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Cottondale First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Chris Franklin officiating.
