Alton "A.J." John McClendon

Alton “A.J.” John McClendon age 36 of Altha passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Marianna. He was born on July 11, 1984 in Tallahassee to the late Larry B. and Kathy L. McClendon.

A.J. enjoyed his job working on boats as a machinist for Eastern Ship Building Group.  He also enjoyed sitting around fires, picking berries, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents. A.J. is survived by his fiancé and the mother of his children Jessica Stodghill, son Alton John McClendon, Jr., daughter Alexandria Marie McClendon, brothers Larry McClendon, Brad McClendon, Richie Moon, Ethan McClendon, and Littleton Bramblett, sisters Shannon McClendon, and Stacey McClendon. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home
