Ruby Lee (Chason) Flanders

Ruby Lee Flanders age 80 of Marianna passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at her home. Ruby is a native of Jackson County born on March 10, 1939 to the late Wilson and Minnie Lee Chason. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and she especially enjoyed cooking cornbread for her family. Ruby was also a member of Camphead Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard O’Bryan, sister Myrtie Vickery, and her brother Howard Chason.

Ruby is survived by her husband Marlin Flanders, children Russell O’Bryan, Hazel O’Bryan,  Randy O’Bryan, Loretta Lipford (Bill), Kevin O’Bryan (Rhonda), Jimmy O’Bryan, and Anthony O’Bryan, two brothers, six sisters, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services for Ruby will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Brother DeWayne Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasty Pond Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of service.
