Olga (Villarreal) Knox

Olga Villarreal Knox age 81 of Marianna passed away at Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, AL on May 9, 2019 at 7:05 PM.  She was born April 3, 1938 in Laredo, Texas to the late Refugio and Barbara Villarreal.

Olga is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward Knox, her children Debbie Knox Carter and husband Terry E., Michael Knox, Rose Marie Knox Gay and husband Darron, four granddaughters Christina, Ashley, Jennifer, and Allyson, four great granddaughters Elizabeth, Ivy Grace, Brilynn, and Evelyn, one brother Arturo Villarreal, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters Grace Garza, Maria de Carmen Medina, Rosa Worley, and Gloria Bowker, two brothers, Enrique and Refugio, Jr.

Olga is a lifelong resident of Marianna, where she has lived since leaving her childhood home of Laredo at the age of 26. Before Olga became sick, she loved dancing, fishing, and going to her home church Marianna First Assembly of God. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hats Society.

Services for Olga will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.
