Lewis Tyre Brooks, Sr.

Lewis T. Brooks, Sr.  age 79 of Marianna passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his son Ty Brooks, his parents Pearly and Mary Brooks and four sisters.  He was a native of Jackson County and a member  of the  Friendship Assembly of God .  He enjoyed working,  traveling, especially to the mountains.  He dearly loved his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Ouida Brooks, step daughter Tracey Mandrekas (Guido), daughters Donna Brooks and Tara Sellers (Brian) and daughter-in-law Maria. His brothers, Leon Brooks (Carolyn), James Brooks, Richard Brooks (Mary Frank); sisters Margie Tatum, Annette Hagans (Jimmy); twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.  in Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with a time of visitation one hour prior to service time.

Interment will follow in the Old Shiloh Cemetery in Calhoun County.
