Kathy McAlpin

Kathy Rogers McAlpin, 54 of Greenwood, Florida, has gone to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 10, 2017. She passed peacefully into His arms. A native of Jackson County, Kathy had been a resident of this area her whole life. Kathy was a caring person from the time she woke up ‘til the she went to sleep. She was a chef at Day Springs Christian Academy and loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William P.  and Mary Daniels Rogers, her husband Ronnie “Gene” McAlpin, sisters Linda Griffin, and Vivian Canady.

Kathy is survived by three step sons, Kevin Gene, Jimmy Gene, and Anthony Gene, brother Donnie Rogers and wife Martha Jo of Cypress, FL, sister Connie Weygandt of Inverness, Florida, nieces and nephews; Alana, Angie, Michelle, Cindy, DD, Melissa, Chelsea, Zachary,  David, and Jaden. She is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews.

Services for Kathy will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Dellwood. Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until time of service.

Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
