Johnny Green Bulzer

Johnny Green Bulzer age 83 of Marianna passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 14, 1935 in Altha, Florida and had lived most of his life in Jackson County. Johnny served his country proudly in the United States Airforce from 1952 to 1962. He continued his career in the military serving in the National Guard in Apalachicola as a supply Sergeant. Johnny married his bride on August 2, 1958 and would work as a mail contractor for 30 plus years. He enjoyed working, traveling, photography, and vacationing in the mountains of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents Minnie Lee Green and step-father James Gordon Edenfield, daughter Jessie Mae Bulzer, maternal grandmother Evie Bailey Green and step grandfather Floyd Hires.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Jernearl “Jerry” Stephens Bulzer, children Darlene Tanner and husband Fred, John Mark Bulzer,  Doug Bulzer and wife Janice, sister Annette Bontrager, grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Bobby Lee, Meagan, and Samantha, several great grandchildren, a host of extended family, nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Bulzer will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2018 at Marvin Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Irvin Jennison officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors given. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.
