Elwin Seabron Fears

Elwin Fears age 65 of Marianna passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Gulf Coast Hospital. Elwin was a native of Marianna born on February 13, 1952 to the late James and Gladys Robinson Fears. He was of the Assembly of God faith, a life member of The Elks Lodge #1516, The Dothan Lodge #1887, and The Moose Lodge #1026 of Marianna.

Elwin is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary D. Fears, sister Jeannie Brooks, brother Jimmy Lawrence Fears, and brother-in-law Charles Grantham.

He is survived by his son Chad Fears and wife Holli of Jacksonville, FL, daughter Tanaia Gleason and husband Gabriel of Deland, FL, companion Jane Powell of Marianna, her daughters Olivia Powell  (Brian) of Tallahassee, FL, and Rachel Powell of Tallahassee, and her grandchildren Gracie Trent, and Cy Selman, three brothers Robert Fears and wife Marie of Malone, Norris Fears and wife Janet of Marianna, and Mike Fears of Marianna, two sisters Juanita Grantham of Marianna, and Margie Fears of Marianna, brother-in-law James Brooks, sisters-in-law Clara Jones and husband Terry, and Effie Carter, grandchildren Austin Gleason, Ashley Gleason, Adeley Fears, Elizabeth Fears, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Elwin will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 19, 2018 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Potter officiating. Interment will follow in the Carpenter Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
