Donald Edward Ostrander

Donald “Don” Edward  Ostrander, 89, of Marianna, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Dothan, AL. Don was born in Florala, AL to the late Albert “Dutch” and Grace Ostrander and has lived in Marianna most of his life.

He was a veteran serving in the Marines during the Korean War,  and retired from being a master tile/carpet floorman. Later Don worked several years as a carrier for the Jackson County Floridan. He loved his family and also enjoyed fishing and dove hunting. Don was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Peggy Sue Ostrander Quinton,  brothers David Ostrander, Howard Ostrander, Guy Ostrander, and Lester Ostrander, sisters Ida Coleman, Murray Bowland, and Dorothy Dudley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dora Ostrander, son Berry (Lisa) Ostrander, step-granddaughter Crystal White, five step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Don will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 18, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Cook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
