Daisy (McAlpin) Peacock

Daisy McAlpin Peacock age 87 of Rocky Creek passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Panama City, Florida. She was born in Gadsden County, FL on April 13, 1931 to the late Gordon and Mary Lou McAlpin. Mrs. Daisy was a life long resident of Jackson County and a graduate of Marianna High School Class of 1948. She was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church where she had served faithfully in many areas. She was a volunteer of Habitat for Humanity for 25 years, Eldercare Services, Senior Citizens Board and the VA. Daisy was known for her friendly smile and warm personality she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Peacock, son Gordon Drew “Jackie” Peacock and sister Louise Pumphrey.

Daisy is survived by one son Billy Fulgham Peacock of Marianna, two daughters Cora Jane Walker and husband James of Marianna, Deborah Annette McMullian of Tallahassee, one sister Annette Lippencott of Panama City, five grandchildren Joseph David McMullian II and wife Cathy, Cora Ranee McMullian both of Tallahassee, James Brian Walker of Marianna, Brandon Drew Peacock of Marianna, and Brittany Elizabeth Peacock of South Carolina, two great grandchildren Tyler Marie McMullian and Kyle David McMullian.

Services for Daisy will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Wester and Dr. John Venell officiating. Interment will follow in Sims Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
