Charles Leroy Stone

Charles Leroy Stone age 63 of Marianna passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his residence.

He was of the Baptist faith and had lived in Marianna most of his life. Charles was an amazing father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.  He was an avid FSU fan.

His parents Ottis B. and Josephine Stone preceded him in death as well as his sister Naomi “Tudy” Collins and brother-in-law Dean Sheppard.

Survivors include his son Christopher Stone (Patricia) of Chipley, daughter Stephanie Jones (John) of Bascom, the mother of his children Lauria Messner of Grand Ridge, sisters; Caroline Stone of Marianna, Patricia Sheppard of Ohio, Tressa Carpenter of Marianna, grandchildren; Jacob Stone, Jane Rose Stone, Gabriel Jones, Preston Jones and Madison Jones, four nephews and one niece.

A celebration of Charles’ life will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10 am in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. The family has requested that FSU colors be worn to honor his favorite team.
