Betty Josephine (Gilbert) Nicholas

Betty Josephine Gilbert Nicholas age 86 of Marianna, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 in Jackson Hospital. Betty was born on November 27, 1932 to the late Otto Lafayette and Mary Lucille Gilbert. She loved gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three children Billy J. Nicholas, Gilbert Lee Nicholas, and Deborah Ann Felts, two sisters Montreal Woodward and Ruth Gilbert, and one brother Aldean Gilbert.

Betty is survived by one son Warren R. Nicholas and his wife Marie, one daughter and caregiver Janet Nicholas Parrish, sister Guiola Williams, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Services for Betty will be held a 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 29, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.
