Mrs. Mary Hussey age 75 of Marianna passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at her home. She was born in Jackson County on August 17, 1936 to the late Matthew and Ella McQuagge Porter. Mrs. Hussey was a dedicated member to her church at Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God. She enjoyed cooking and was best known for her banana pudding.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Ira Porter and M.B. Porter, two sisters; Blanche Porter and Irene Shores. Mrs. Hussey is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Burman Hussey, one son Andy Chambliss, two daughters; Pat Barnes and her husband Dixon and Rose Merritt and her husband Mickey, one sister; Nina Mae Strickland, seven grandchildren; Jonathon Barnes Green, Anthony Green, Angie Lawson, Michael Green, Michele Green, Andrew Chambliss and Wayne Chambliss, and many great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Ellis Vickery officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

A time of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 6PM to 8PM in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
